Educational Programs: Family and community education is a major component of Cornerstone’s treatment strategies. In addition to our clinic based services, Cornerstone also offers educational programs that are specifically designed to meet your needs. Our educational programs are designed by our Clinical Director, Kathy Citerone and tailored to your audience. Like our treatment strategies, our education concentrate on the sensory component, specifically the neurological components of therapy and education. We have programs that focus on education and the school system, the community (such as day care programs and support groups), and home based sensory strategies. Each program lasts anywhere from 1 to 3 hours and includes a hand outs and Q&A session. These programs are very comprehensive and are designed to be interactive with the audience. For more information or to schedule a program, contact our office at (304)842-0044. There is a fee for this service.
Phone Consults: Don’t live around here, trouble getting to the clinic, or just have questions between visits? No problem. Cornerstone is able to do phone consultations with your family after an initial evaluation is completed. The phone consultations can extend your time between visits by giving you and your family home programming or sensory strategies that you can work on with your child in the comfort of your own home. Phone consults are not as comprehensive as clinic visits but provide a great forum to answer any questions that you have. Phone consultations are based on the therapist’s availability. Feel free to speak with your therapist to schedule a phone consultation. There is a private pay fee for this service.
One-on-One Parent Education Visits: Cornerstone prides itself on being the most comprehensive pediatric therapy clinic in West Virginia. We understand that you, as parents or caregivers, will have a lot of questions regarding all of the information we give you and your family during a therapy session. Our therapists are more than happy to schedule a one-on-one appointment with just you and members of your family to answer your questions and address any concerns that you may have. One-on-One education visits are based on the therapists’ availability. There is a private pay fee for this service.
